Naturopathic Medicine

A licensed Naturopathic doctor has completed 4 or more years of post bachelor's study in both the medical sciences and naturopathic treatment strategies and philosophy. They have also completed 2 years of clinical rotations and 2 national licensing exams: one in biomedical science and one in diagnosis and treatment. Both Dr. Palacios and Gonick worked at the University of Bridgeport as postgraduates following their Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degrees. Dr. Palacios ran the dispensary preparing tinctures, homeopathic remedies and dispensing supplements.

Naturopathic medicine focuses on holistic, proactive prevention and comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. Naturopaths are trained in herbal medicine, nutrition, physical medicine, detoxification, hydrotherapy, and homeopathy. We hold as a central tenant that the human body is designed to recover and heal if given the right conditions.
