Naturopathic Medicine

A licensed Naturopathic doctor has completed 4 or more years of post bachelor's study in both the medical sciences and naturopathic treatment strategies and philosophy. They have also completed 2 years of clinical rotations and 2 national licensing exams: one in biomedical science and one in diagnosis and treatment. Many Naturopathic doctors further their education by completing a residency under an experienced Naturopath following graduation. Dr. Gonick was lucky enough to complete her postgraduate work with Dr. Peter D'Adamo at the Center for Excellence in Generative Medicine in Connecticut.

Naturopathic medicine focuses on holistic, proactive prevention and comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. Naturopaths are trained in herbal medicine, nutrition, physical medicine, detoxification, hydrotherapy, and homeopathy. We hold as a central tenant that the human body is designed to recover and heal if given the right conditions.

Dr. Gonick is a licensed as a naturopathic physician with the state of Connecticut License: 000542.
